GitOps that teams actually adopt
How GitHub Actions + Argo CD became the default path from commit to Kubernetes.
GitOpsKubernetesCI/CD
GitOps fails when it feels like extra ceremony. It sticks when the happy path is the easiest path.

The shape that worked
- GitHub Actions builds, tests, and publishes artifacts.
- Argo CD owns cluster state from Git.
- Promotion is a PR — not a ticket and a manual kubectl session.
Guardrails
- Clear environments (
dev→staging→prod) - Rollback is reversing a commit, not hunting history on a laptop
- Access stays in Git + RBAC, not shared kubeconfigs
Takeaway
If developers can ship safely without asking platform for a favor, GitOps is doing its job.
